My prize-winning poem

I have won the 2013 RSPB Wildverse poetry competition (under 8s category)!
Here is my winning poem:

Blackberry Poem

How empty and dangerous the field is now
The trees that beckon us onto the Ely Trail
I nearly toppled over a hidden rock
Got hurt by a thistle
Pricked by a thorn
But we’re alive with blackberries
Growing with blackberries
Buzzing with brambling fever

Here’s a ripe one
Black and juicy
Someone pull me through the thistles
I’m going like a Japanese bullet train
Help! I’ve fallen into a bed of nettles!
